The 46th International Conference on Computing in Cardiology was held in Singapore from September 8-11, 2019. This conference is an important international academic conference in the field of computational cardiology., which plays an important role in promoting the theoretical research of computational cardiology and the development of cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment technology. It is also the second time for this 46-year-old international event to be held outside Europe and America. The conference was hosted by the High-Performance Computing Institute of Singapore Science and the National Heart Center of Singapore. More than 400 experts and scholars from over 70 countries and regions attend the conference.

Professor Liu chengyu, a teacher at the School of Instrument Science and Engineering, Southeast University, led doctoral student Cai Zhipeng, master students Yang Meicheng, Li Ying, undergraduate Xiong Yule attended the conference. Cai's paper How Accurate are ECG Parameters from Wearable Single-lead ECG System for 24-hours Monitoring participated in the exchange of health informatics and technology topics, which reported wearable ECG monitoring parameters and dynamic ECG (Systematic control results between Holter). Yang's paper Prediction of Sepsis Using a Sliding Window-based AdaBoost Learning and Bayesian Regression participated in the exchange of the topic of the PhysioNet/CinC competition, which was based on the early detection of sepsis in the intensive care unit (ICU). Automated early warning assessment of multiple vital signs and clinical data can provide clinicians with important reference information. Li's paper Anti-interference Ability Analysis for Common Atrial Fibrillation Features participated in the topic of atrial fibrillation detection. This study tested the anti-noise performance of commonly used atrial fibrillation indicators in wearable ECG monitoring environment. Xiong's paper A New Entropy-based Heart Failure Detector participated in the exchange of heart rate variability topics. Based on the traditional sample entropy analysis, this paper proposes an improved sample entropy method for detecting heart failure.

The above research was directed by Professor Liu Chengyu and Professor Li Jianqing form the Academy of Instrumentology. The research showed the latest research results of the Institute of Instrument Science of Southeast University in the field of wearable ECG research, which attracted wide attention and praise form the participants. Among them, the work of master student Yang stood out from more than 100 research teams around the world and won the first prize of the 20th PhysioNet/CinC Global Physiological Measurement Challenge, which won the honor for Southeast University. Undergraduate Xiong as a senior in school, based on the previously published SCI entropy measurement algorithm paper, further proposed the entropy measurement algorithm for heart failure detection, undergraduate students can participate in top academic conferences and exchanges, showcased the school has achieved outstanding results in undergraduate training. This conference further strengthened the academic exchanges and cooperation between our institute and domestic and foreign experts and scholars in the field of computational cardiology and effectively enhanced the activity and influence of Southeast University in the field of computational cardiology.
