On the afternoon of August 14, 2019, our school held the 2019 student work seminar in the conference room on the third floor of the Zhongxin building. Wang Jun (Party secretary), Ding Xiaoli (Deputy party secretary), and the class teachers and counselors of the undergraduate of the School of Instrument Science and Engineering attended the meeting.
This seminar was hosted by teacher Ding Xiaoli, who first introduced the overall situation of the school's student work. Ding elaborates the significance of student work from different dimensions such as national-level, university-level, and school-level. She also elaborated on the focus and starting point of student work, introduced the current situation of the students, and summarizing the existing problems of students. Furthermore, she introduced targeted activities and other work at the college.
The second part of the seminar was shared by the excellent class teacher, Liang jinxing and Li xuanpeng. Liang jinxing gave a wonderful introduction to the teacher in charge's work understanding, the teacher in charge's concrete work detailed rules. In Li xuanpeng's experience sharing, he put forward the six points of experience of ding a good job as a class teacher, which has a good reference.
In the third part of the conference, Peng yuanyuan and Sun wenjun shared their work experience. Peng mainly introduced how to talk to students. She analyzed the characteristics of post-2000s generation students, introduced the right time, right place, and people when talking with students, as well as the skills and methods of conversation, and gave many suggestions on details. Sun mainly introduced the latest student status policy, including the latest achievement management regulations, student status management regulations, and policies to extend the length of study.
The fourth part of the conference is a free discussion. Teachers discussed how to improve students' professional recognition, how to strengthen the class style, how to help students adapt to college life, how to guide students to make personal life planning, and how to grow into leading talents in a variety of industries in the future.
At the end of the meeting, Wang jun made a summary speech for this seminar. She believes that the work of the class teacher is very important because the class teacher is the link between professional work and student work, as well as the driver of students' growth and talent. The class teacher must have the good quality and the optimistic attitude first, then can lead the student effectively. At the same time, Wang said that freshman year is a key period for college students to grow up and become talents. The class teacher should first play a good guiding role during the freshman year. The class teacher should also hold every class meeting and integrate his feelings into his work.
