Bo Yang received the B.S degree in Department of Mechanics of Chongqing University of Technology in 2002, and the Ph.D. degree in School of Instrument Science and Engineering of Southeast University in 2007. In the same year, he joined the School of Instrument Science and Engineering at the Southeast University, working as a Lecturer. During the academic year of 2012-2013, he was a Post-doctor at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. Currently he is an Associate Professor in the School of Instrument Science and Engineering in Southeast University. He is chosen by the Eleventh Peak Talents Programme Foundation in the Six New Industry Areas of Jiangsu Province.He has completed projects supported by Ship Industry Pre-Research Foundation, Aviation Science Foundation, Pre-Research Foundation, Doctoral Fund of Ministry of Education of China and the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities respectively. He has once participated two projects supported by the National “Tenth Five-Year-Plan” Pre-Research Project, one project supported by the National “Eleventh Five-Year-Plan” Pre-Research Project, two projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China and three projects supported by Enterprise Project. Now he is in charge of one project supported by the National “Twelfth Five-Year-Plan” Pre-Research Project, two projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China and one project supported by Enterprise Project. At the same time, he is participating two projects supported by the National “Twelfth Five-Year-Plan” Pre-Research Project and one project support by Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province. He has published over 40 academic papers, among which 20 were included in SCI, EI, IST. And five patents have been authorized. He won the Nominated Award of the Teaching Competition of Young Teacher in 2009, and Teaching Award of Nanjing Xincheng Science Park in 2010. In terms of teaching, he participated in writing a monograph “Micro Inertial Instrument and Micro System

. As a teacher, he has mainly taught Fundamentals of Circuit, Computer Programming, Navigation & Positioning Control and Application for the undergraduates and  Miniature Inertial Theory and Application for the graduates,  and guided eight undergraduates’ thesis and three undergraduates’ SRTP programs.

  2. Measurement & control technology and packaging technology of Micro-inertial instrument (MEMS gyroscope and accelerometer), Miniature inertial measurement unit  (MIMU) and Micro-system

  3. Design theory and methodology of the new micro-nano/MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical systems) sensors and actuators (Micro/Nano resonator, Micro/Nano gas sensors, Micro/Nano biosensors, Micro/Nano physical sensors, Neural probe, etc.);

  4. Design of measurement & control system based on FPGA, DSP and ARM.

Ph.D candidates: 1~2 per year, Postgraduates: 2~3 per year.Welcome the students who major in instrument science and technology, electronics, information, automation, mechanical, physics and other related major field (Especially welcome students interested in interdisciplinary research).
